Duties include handling bookstore sales in the Valle Grande Bookstore operated by Los Amigos de Valles Caldera. DESCRIPTION Visitor services volunteers at Valles Caldera National Preserve support the interpretation team by greeting park visitors at our visitor facilities, providing orientation and safety information, and assisting with bookstore sales. DUTIES
Welcome visitors to Valles Caldera National Preserve
Share knowledge of the park’s primary resources, recreation opportunities, rules, and regulations
Answer any visitor questions in-person and via phone or email
Handle bookstore sales through a cashless payment system
Clean and restock the visitor facilities
Assist with providing interpretation and education programs
Communicate with supervisor about scheduling
Maintain visitation statistics
