About
Founded September 15, 2006, Los Amigos de Valles Caldera is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to support Valles Caldera National Preserve for present and future generations through outreach, education, restoration, and collaboration.
In recent years, we have conducted multiple ecological restoration projects on the preserve, run a variety of educational tours and events, developed educational materials on the preserve's Historic Cabin District, helped to maintain miles of trails, supported Valles Caldera's Night Sky Program, and much more. Since proudly opening its doors on November 28, 2016, we also run the Valle Grande Bookstore, which sells books, apparel, collectibles, outdoor items, snacks & drinks, and more at two preserve locations, with an online store coming soon!

Los Amigos Board of Directors
Los Amigos de Valles Caldera is run by a Board of Directors who volunteer their time working to support Valles Caldera National Preserve. Diverse in areas of expertise, we are united by a passion for preserving and sharing Valles Caldera's unique heritage, as well as its lush forests, meandering meadow streams, abundant wildlife, and other natural wonders.
