Los Amigos would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our members and donors who contributed to our $5,000 matching campaign in support of new signage at Valles Caldera National Preserve. Thanks to your generosity, we met the match!

We will be working closely with Preserve staff to determine the most effective way to use these funds.

New and updated signs will enhance the visitor experience by providing interpretive information at key locations throughout the Preserve. Trailhead signs and trail markers for both hiking and winter recreation will also help increase safety and provide clear guidance for those enjoying the Preserve’s extensive trail network.

Looking ahead, there is an estimated $50,000 in sign-related costs over the next 2–3 years for interpretive projects at History Grove, Cerro La Jara and Sulphur Springs, as well as numerous trailheads and hiking trails throughout Valles Caldera. Your support helps move these important projects forward.

Thank you for helping make these improvements possible.
